With a background of more than 30 years of healthcare experience, Lawrence Hurst has utilized his leadership and consultative skills to found Hurst Consulting Options, LLC (HCO), in an effort to ensure positive Client interaction. He has personally guided over 2500 healthcare leadership searches.
His 20 years of health executive search have enabled HCO to develop Client unique features that are unmatched in the healthcare recruitment field. From the development of an industry long 15-month guarantee to minimizing Client financial risk with the provision of portable retainers, Larry has successfully positioned HCO to be able to serve a diverse array of Clients: from Critical Access Hospitals and Rural Health Clinics to large academic medical centers to Physician Groups and Ancillary Services such as Hospice and Home Health. As one of the industry pioneers of interim executive placements, he has provided HCO with the framework to be able to provide interim leadership candidates to Clients within 10 working days.
Lawrence began his executive search career with two national healthcare recruiting firms where he served as an Associate Vice President and Vice President of Sales. It was there that he created the business tools which are critical to HCO’s operations.
Lawrence has also served as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force, during which time he received a Masters in Procurement Management.
